LLuLu Group pledges US$100m for Malaysian halal goods via Mara

LULU Group International has pledged to buy worth US$100 million (nearly RM400 million) of Malaysia’s locally produced halal goods. This follows last week’s meeting between LuLu Group International chairman and MD Yusuff Ali Musaliam Veettil Abdul Kaderhas with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

Halal Knowledge Centre (HKC) is a one-stop halal reference center established in 2009 as an initiative under the Halal Development Corporation (HDC). The main role of HKC is to promote knowledge to drive the growth of the halal industry in Malaysia. In this era of globalization, a digital HKC portal has been developed to integrate various services and information, making it more accessible to users worldwide. The HKC portal has been visited by over 30,000 users since 2020.
